Unity is ready for her first outing.

On Monday morning at 2:00am we brought little Unity home. She has been having her fill of crying, pooping, eating, and keeping us on our toes. Our already busy schedules have clearly been put on hold for our new busy schedule.
Unity has been demonstrating different personalities every day and we are anxious to figure out which personality will stay for good. Yesterdays personality was a bit loud but today she is more calm and enjoying the little things around her. She definitely likes music and walking in and out of light.
Babelle is having a tough time accepting a valid contender for most noteworthy attention addict. But he is coming around slowly and we are sure Unity and Babelle will become best pals. Negatively, Babelle has taken to puking all over. We are not sure if this is a demonstration of protest or if he is actually sick. I think he is demonstrating..
Unity sleeps very good through the night so far with only waking us up about twice for boob and diaper. If she continues on this track we will be happy mommy and daddy.
We have been very busy and posting on the blog is always an "almost". Unity clearly knows when its time to post and without fail, will stop us from doing it.
At 10:29pm on Saturday April 11th little Unity finally decided to meet Jessica and I. We left our house at 9:35pm, were admitted at 9:45pm, and were in the Alternative Birthing Center (ABC) at 10:04pm. 25 minutes later, Unity joined us. We were relieved at how fast the delivery was. Especially Jessica!
Mommy and baby are in great health and beautiful! We are still at the hospital keeping a close eye on Jessica and are hopeful we will head home tonight.
Welcome Unity Calla!
8.2lbs
just shy of 20" long
Well today Jessica and Unity are officially overdue. I guess Unity is not ready to experience wet, cold, touch, poop, human outside yet.
We are anxiously waiting for her big moment, especially Jess!
Late baby = bigger baby = harder labor = not happy mommy!
