Celebrate! Unity

With the recent arrival of Autumn we are starting to get into a festive mode. Unity is old enough now to start taking part in the seasonal activities we do and is very excited to dive into the season.
Every year Jess, Unity and I spend September's last weekend in Stowe, Vermont for their annual Oktoberfest celebration. With Margie (my sister) living in New Hampshire now, we were able to celebrate Oktoberfest with her. This equals extra fun for Unity, who spent most of the weekend dancing, eating, and having loads of fall time fun.
Unity is really taken in with cooking and baking. She is very interested in trying to make new things with Mommy and Daddy and is very meticulous with getting all the ingredients just right. Unity and I have been making pumpkin and apple pie from scratch and some tasty pear preserves thanks to Auntie Heather dropping off bunches of pears from her yard! Unity recently recruited Jessica into her cooking agenda, making a tasty peach pie that Unity cannot get enough of. Every night Unity helps make dinner and has started to put her own spin on what we are making.
With the busy summer behind us we are looking forward to the festive themes and celebrations of the season. The start of the Holiday season is upon us and I think this year will be a fantastic first (maybe) memory of this festive season for Unity.
