Celebrate! Unity

Today makes Unity one week old. Umbilical cords, baths, pooping in new diaper, relationship issues with Babelle, meeting new Dr. and family members, watching James Bond and bopping to Sigur Rós amongst many other fun moments have made the first week of Unity's life on the outside quite an adventure for her.
Yesterday Auntie Beth and Auntie Margie came to visit from NJ. Unity had a very fun time with her fashionably, Ivy League, rock star auntie's. It was good to see Beth and Margie and we all had a good time. I am sure Unity will be going to her aunties for all her fashion needs.
Today we bottle-fed Unity for the first time. Of course we are using only breast milk compliments of the pump. This gives daddoo a chance to have snack-time-bonding with Unity. She has accepted the bottle without complaints and still likes the boob.
It appears that her umbilical cord will fall off today. Wahoo! This means real baths and no more worries. She will lose her cord only after 6-7 days.
Babelle and Unity have started repairing their rough start relationship and we actually caught them sleeping together.
So far Unity has been a great baby. She sleeps on a consistent nightly schedule and is calm and very observant as long as she is not cold. She also loves to have her hair washed.
